(I'm trying to be honest eh....)
Honest
- Not disposed to cheat or defraud; not deceptive or fraudulent
- Worthy of being depended on
- Gained or earned without cheating or stealing
Integrity
- An undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting
- Moral soundness
While I'm bit with some unusual itch of learning some meaning and putting it to application.. I found an apt example which some one said to me, which defines the larger meaning of the above words..
Here is a milkman who supplies milk to my friends home.. these days he dilutes milk with water...
May times my friend sulked and one fine day the milk man thought he has to be honest to his customers..
He said ' Sir, with prices raising and lot of inflation around ,, I can't sustain with the price you pay per liter and hence I dilute'...
My friend agreed and appreciated his honesty.. at the same time this man with the label 'milk-man' has to sell the milk alone and not water ?.. which means he lost the integrity
I told my friend I'm trying to soak in the definition in my head ..
